GRAMMABLE?
Maybe I’m just nostalgic, but I do miss when Instagram felt a bit more like… Instagram.
Rooting for your pals, cheering people on, supporting local businesses, having a laugh and seeing what everyone was actually up to. It felt more genuine.
Now it can feel a little like one big advert. More polished, less authentic. I’ll keep showing up though, and try my best to keep it ‘reel’. 😉
I’ve had such a lovely few weeks with clients. So many brilliant people, all filling my cup, and I feel very lucky to do what I love.
I’m also at that funny stage with the business where things are growing, and I’m having to stop, take stock and work out what I actually want it to look like. There are some exciting things in the pipeline, and I’m learning that growth also means being brave enough to make a few changes. So, watch this space…
Running my 10k (yup!) last weekend through the city gave me a funny little love for city life again. I actually lived in Edinburgh as little Lauren, aged 19–21. I’ve not felt overly connected since being back in the UK, probably too busy being ‘mum’. But seeing the city differently at the weekend, with people cheering from the sidelines, reminded me just how much energy it can bring.
And I think that’s what I’ve been feeling lately… people need people. We need connection, encouragement and someone who’s genuinely happy when things go well for us. A real-life cheerleader, not just a bot.
So, that was my short story! Ha.
To the weekend… quiet around here as we recoup from the week. Emails, booking in clients, hot chocolates, time with the kids, walks with Brisbane and hopefully doing very little (she says!).
How are you finding things lately? Feeling the same? Fancy a real-life cheerleader? 📣
